I started exploring sports when I was around 5 years old at my parents’ request. I tried little league baseball, basketball, and other sports but soccer was the sport that resonated the most with me. I enjoyed being with other kids, learning new skills, running, scoring goals and most of all having fun. With each year, I was anxious for the season to start and devastated to see it end. I played recreational soccer with the YMCA and the different soccer clubs. However, as I was entering middle school, my recreational soccer coach encouraged me to consider trying out for the select travel team. He felt that I would really benefit from playing soccer at an advanced competitive level. I attended tryouts and was selected for the team. The experience of playing on the travel team peaked my interest and passion for the game of soccer immensely. Since that time, I have continued training, growing and learning in all aspects of soccer. The intensiveness of the game is what I live for. When I am on the soccer field, I am in my zone and I have a feeling of confidence that surpasses my own understanding. The primary position that I have trained for is Centre-back Defender. I enjoy defending the goal and keeping the opponent team from scoring. My plans are to play soccer at the collegiate level. I am determined to reach my goals and being a collegiate soccer play is my dream.
