Sydney Somogyi Personal Statement
I am in the Class of 2021, 02 Lady Lobos Rush Premier and starting center back for club and high school. At Houston High School I am in the honors academy and challenge myself by taking honors and AP classes. I have tried to put myself in the most competitive athletic and academic environment in order to prepare to play college soccer at the highest level.
I am the only recruit in the Class of 2021 in the state of TN with five D1 State Championships. My club team, 02 Lady Lobos Rush Premier recently won the 2019 D1 US Youth Soccer TN State Championship and made it to the US Youth Southern Regional Championship Tournament. My club team also won the D1 US Youth Soccer TN state championship in 2018, 2016 and we were finalists in 2017. I was Captain of my club team in 2019,2018, and 2016 all three years that we won the State Championship. We have made it to the US Youth Southern Regional Championship Tournament the last four years, finishing in the semifinals and the quarterfinals. My high school team, Houston High School, won the 2018 TSSAA D1 AAA TN State Championship for the second year in a row. In 2017 we won the TSSAA D1 AAA TN State Championship and were named National Champions by USA Today.

- Currently, train with Magis Trainer on Technical skills and doing speed and strength training with a trainer two days a week, and working out on my own at Lifetime gym. Over the past ten years I have worked with individual trainers, D1, Lifetime gym, Parisi for speed and strength training and now with a trainer twice a week.

Yes. In the Honors Academy at Houston High School and enrolled in Honors and AP Classes. Currently in Honors Anatomy and Physiology, English Honors, Dual Enrollment American History, Pre Calculus, Marketing, and Finance. As a Sophmore, I took Chemistry Honors, English Honors, Algebra II Honors, Computer Science AP, Spanish II, and Art. As a Freshman Geometry Honors, Biology Honors, English Honors, AP Human Geography, Spanish I and Health/Wellness. I just finished the first semester of my junior year with a 4.3.Are you in AP/IB classes?
