Tatyana Martinez '22 Recruiting Profile

Hey everyone, I’m Tatyana, someone who has played soccer since I was three! I love the game and do not plan on stopping yet. Athletics are a huge part of my life, but that does not put attaining greater academic achievement in the back seat.

     Having a strong work ethic has enabled me to apply for early graduation as well as be a stater on varsity since freshman year, but separating me for other possible recruits would be being a versatile leader and my ability to put in the work to learn from peers as well as coaching staff. Versatility on the field enables me to learn various positions and their roles as well as learn how to better contribute to the team efforts. Especially because playing goalie for several years forced me to watch plays be created and broken down as well as to communicate with the team to adjust the playing style to be more effective for each and every team. This versatility and adaptability has also allowed me to become a better leader that is able to connect defense to midfield then on to offense. Which in turn, makes me more able to adapt on and off the field with confidence.
