I have learned to excel at anything, you must practice a lot, make mistakes, and then correct. I have played competitive select soccer for over 8 years and played on my high school varsity team as freshman, sophomore, junior and now senior years. Coaches have played me in many positions over the years, including keeper, back, forward and wing, so I am pretty versatile. For the past 4 years, but I have landed playing up most of the time. Center forward, and left winger are where I play at my best, because I can really use my speed and can distribute. I shoot well with both feet, so this enables me to play both sides. I am always learning and love this game. The field is where I feel free and alive!
A very proud moment I had was being on the very first team at my club to make it to make it to the President's Cup Nationals in Tennessee in 2019. I was honored with the Best 11 Award for my age group, and I scored the only goal for my team in those 4 games. While we didn't win the title, I was proud of my effort, and what my team did. We made it really far, but we learned we had a long way to go to actually win! I am also proud that I was the only freshman who made varsity at Austin High, a 6A Texas high school, and was given a District honorable mention award as a freshman.
My goal is to find a college home that can grow me as an athlete and an individual as I go forward and make a difference in the world. My ability to balance both high level soccer and high level academics has helped me prepare for what college life would be like as an athlete. I have worked hard to maintain over a 4.1 weighted GPA, taking many AP classes and OnRamps classes with college credit. I also am a member of NCL, which is a philanthropic organization and I volunteer a minimum of 20 hours each year with my mom for Austin, TX area philanthropies. I am also an avid traveler, hiker and reader. I work part time in my spare time, as well, at various places and babysitting.
Soccer is my sport, and I get to use my size, speed and sense of the field to help my teams win. I make mistakes, but I am always trying to learn from them. I know I will be an asset to any team and love to learn new methods and strategies for the game. I am thankful for the great coaches who had confidence in me over the years, as I couldn't have been as successful without them. I look forward to speaking with you!
