Hi, I’m Katie Krauss. I am an outside mid/back and center forward from Austin, Tx. I am graduating in 2026. I have played soccer for most of my life, I began playing when I was 5 years old and I am now 16. I had played pretty competitively up until 6th grade when I stopped playing due to Covid and other circumstances. But, freshman year of high school I decided to get back into soccer and join the JV team. I quickly found my passion for the game again. After playing that winter season and leading the team in goals I decided to join the soccer academy that my school offered. I began to quickly improve again, so I made the decision that at the end of the summer I would join an elite lonestar team. I worked tirelessly over the summer to sharpen my skills and get better everyday. My work seemed to pay off when as soon as I joined the team of older girls I was a starter. I was also starting in my Academy games with girls playing GA and ECNL. I worked hard that fall, and eventually high school soccer season came around. I went from being on the JV team freshman year to playing all 90 minutes of almost every game on the Varsity team sophomore year. My hard work ethic was noticed by my coaches and at the end of the school year I was awarded the “breakout athlete of the year” award. This award is awarded to the most improved athlete throughout the school in all sports that year. I was honored to receive this award and grateful that my efforts had been noticed. I had also worked hard in the spring in club soccer. I ended up trying out and making an 06/07 ECRL team, playing with mostly juniors, and I only plan to improve everyday and try my best to find a spot on the top team. I believe that my hard work and dedication to making myself better everyday in soccer and my dedication to getting good grades as well is something that will take me far in my soccer career and in life!
