I have always been very determined on the field and in the classroom. I hate to fail at anything. When I was little, my dad told me that if I could not kick well with my left foot, I would only be half a player, so I practiced until I was just as good with my left foot. Now coaches think I am left footed.
I am going to go to college but I also am going to be college athlete in soccer. I am not exactly sure what I want to do yet as a career, but I am interested in animal sciences and health sciences or possibly criminal justice as a major. I am determined to play Division 1 soccer at the collegiate level.
Coaches in all of my sports have told me that I was gifted athlete since I was little. My first love was baseball because that is what my brothers played. In my final year in Little League baseball league, I made the all Star team for the 5th straight year at both pitcher and shortstop, and was the 12 year old home run champion, the lowest ERA and highest batting average, and most stolen bases in the league. I was the only girl. After Little League, I played softball for select teams and for my middle school. I also ran track in the sprints because I was the fastest girl in my school. In the Houston Independent School District Championships (the 2nd or 3rd largest ISD in the country), I placed second in the 200 meters and 4th in the 100 meters, out of 34 middle schools and over 70 top sprinters in each of my events, without any training. I disappointed my coaches when I gave up track and softball when I went to high school because I was told that I should commit to one sport. My heart was in soccer.
As a starting freshman with Bellaire High School, a 6A school, I made first Team All District and led my team in goals even though I missed one game, doubling the previous record for goals a freshman. As a sophomore, I led the team with 18 goals in fewer games and was chosen again as First Team All District and the unanimous choice as First Team All District Offensive Player of the Year for 2021. As a junior, I was able to take my team into the second round of the playoffs. My goal total as of my Junior year is now at 69 and I was again chosen for 1st Team All District and the unanimous choice for All District Most Valuable Player.
Through Spring of 2021, I played for a satellite team Albion West U 2004 since 13U - 17 U, because we practiced close to my house and out of loyalty to my team mates. I was the top scorer for my team and had the most assists, playing mostly left forward, but sometimes wingback when we wanted to defend a lead. I also played wingback and forward for the ODP South Regional Multistate Team and played in the ODP interregional tournament in Orlando, FL, November 20 - 24, 2021.
Because I had not been in the ECNL system, my coaches were concerned that I may be overlooked by competitive colleges. With the traffic improvements and upon advice from my former coach Danny Hill, I left Albion West U to play with Albion U18/19 ECNL/RL in my junior year. I also played in several regular season games with U18/19 ECNL and two tournaments with ECNL, including the ECNL Houston Showcase. I now play with the U18/19 ECNL at both center defender and wingback. In addition, I also train with TTI and Lee Cullip when my schedule allows, in addition to club and high school practices.
If you are looking for a player that is a true team player, that is very fast, quick, skilled, able to play multiple positions, determined, dedicated, focused, coachable and willing to work hard, please consider me. You will not be disappointed.
