Hello. My name is Keira Lofton. I am a 5'6" 115 lb. left-footed defender that plays center back and left back. I am also very proficient with my right foot as well. I can play any position in the back field, other than keeper. Soccer is very important to me. I have been playing since I was 12, and have picked up on the game quickly. I have a very good field I.Q. and can read the play and respond quickly. I only played at the rec level for a season before I was quickly moved to the club level and was starting immediately. I feel my athleticism and speed help contribute to my quick study of the game. Soccer has helped me focus and stay disciplined on the craft of helping me become not only a better athlete, but a more well-rounded person. While I enjoy comradery, I understand the time and place- when I am on the field, it is go-time and I mean business. I understand the importance of team work and communicate constantly with my backfield line so that we can shut down any possible scoring opportunities as strategically as possible.
I have also participated in track. I run the 100, 4x100, 200, and the 4x200. The 200 is my best event. I ran my best time in the 4x200 as the anchor with the time of 25 seconds. While I do not plan on running track in college, it has taught me the value of perseverance and finishing what you start.
I feel that my athletic ability will enable me to attend college where I would like to grow and learn through quality education so that I can go out into the world with confidence and make it a better place for all. I feel that the attributes that I possess along with the work ethic I have obtained through athletics will help add value to any program I choose to become involved in and would the opportunity to both discuss this and prove this to you. I am a very determined, gritty person that will complete any task I put my mind to.
Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me and I look forward to hearing from you soon and for the possibility of playing for you.
