I’m a 2023 Goalkeeper from Frisco, Texas. I finished my junior year with a cumulative 3.8 gpa. For the 2022-2023 club season I will be joining the FC Dallas ECNL RL U19 team coached by James Fondren. I was the starting goalkeeper on my high school junior varsity team last year and was nominated team MVP by my teammates. I played for the varsity team this year.
I love playing soccer. More specifically, I love being a goalkeeper. Even as a young child, I idolized professional goalkeepers. I would sneak my goalie gloves up to practice, so my parents wouldn't be mad. As of today, I have been playing goalie for 8 years. Punting is one of my strengths. I have gotten a number of assists directly off punts, and I often punt over the defensive line for my teammates to run onto. It is common to hear opposing coaches yelling to their team, "Get back!!" I also have experience playing in the field, which is very useful when playing out of the back. My teammates can play the ball back to me with confidence, and I am good at distributing the ball around the field.
I want to play college soccer, and I see it as one way to help me reach my academic goals. I strive to be in an intellectually challenging environment where I can meet interesting people with diverse points of view. I travelled a lot growing up, and I want college to continue to expand my view of the world.
