Passionate, determined, leader, competitive. These words define who I am as a player and an individual. My passion for soccer began when I was 9 years old. Previously I had been a competitive cheerleader and played basketball but wanted to try something different. My dad, who played division I soccer, introduced me to the sport and I have never looked back since. It took a lot of grit and determination to go from sitting on the bench and learning the fundamentals and basics of the game to being a starter and captain on a highly ranked club team in a short span of a few years. I was determined to do whatever was necessary to get me playing at the highest level. I never missed a practice or a game in 4 years! My competitiveness and determination is what led me to be the player I am today. I am a utility player, able to perform at a high level consistently in multiple positions on the field. My athleticism and athletic build (5’9”) has enhanced my performance as a central midfielder, defender and forward. I am a leader both on and off the field. I was voted captain for 2 years on my club team and have held an officer/representative position in student council since 5th grade.
I am looking for a college/university that has a strong academic reputation, is rich in tradition and provides a well-rounded college experience. I want a place that feels like “home” that can guide me through my academic ambitions, prepare me for life lessons ahead and fulfill my dream of being a collegiate student athlete. I am eager to explore degrees/majors that involve sports in some capacity. However, based on my love for the game, my ability to relate/connect with people and my desire to build and develop a soccer program is what is leading me to want to become a coach someday.
I believe I can play soccer at the collegiate level. I am a very technically skilled and composed player. My intangible strengths are my ability to read the game and sound decision making skills, my vision of the field and my overall coachability. I strive to lead by example with a true commitment to being a better player and helping my team in any way. I would love the opportunity to share my skillset and become a valuable member of a team that has the same passion for the sport that I love.
