Lauryn Rutherford '16 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing soccer since I was 8 years old.  Since I first saw my brother playing when he was just five years old, I knew i wanted to aspire to be an amazing soccer player.  I want to continue to develop and expand my skills at the collegiate level as well as receiving a great education in Engineering and or Business from an outstanding institution.

I always put 100% into every game and I strive to be the hardest working player on the field.  I have the ability to read players exceptionally well and use my quickness and speed to intercept passes and disrupt the execution of opponent's plays.  I am very coachable and my ball handling and shooting skills have continued to improve every time I am on the field.  With all this being said, I play well with any team and can always fit my style of play with any team.

As well as working hard on the field, I work hard in the classroom.  I am in the top 13% of my class and maintain a high GPA.  Outside of playing soccer in high school and the club level, I am a member of the National Honor Society, National English Honor Society, and Safe School Ambassador, and I volunteer at my church and other organizations.

I hope to find a college that will benefit me on the soccer field and in the classroom.  I want to be able to push myself and have a great college experience.  I hope to make my future coach and my parents proud with the things that I achieve academically and athletically.
