Katelyn Horvath '27 Recruiting Profile

From a very young age I fell in love with the beautiful game. Whether it was watching EPL weekend mornings with dad or kicking the ball around the yard. Soccer, to me, is about community and friendships that are built on and off the pitch. Soccer has taught me so many important lessons and has help me become the person I am.

My preferred position to play is center back (4,5) but I also love the opportunities playing the 3 gives me in the attack. The girls I have played with helped me learn how to take action, lead, and support people. I have also learned that one bad play or game does not define my skill and it is how I pick myself up and learn from my mistake both mentally and physically. My parents, my coaches and my teammates have all helped me grow into the player and teammate I am today.
