Kate Nordhaus '23 Recruiting Profile

Hi!

My name is Kate Nordhaus. I am a 2023 center back for McKinney Christian Academy. I have played soccer for over 12 years. The opportunity to play at the collegiate level would be a dream come true. I love the game of soccer because it builds good work ethic, provides fellowship, and most importantly, allows me to contribute to and be part of a team .  

I’m currently the Captain and starting center back on my 5A high school varsity team, and I'm also a starting center back on my club team. I believe that my hard work, determination, leadership, athletic ability, respect for authority, and coachable mentality would be a great fit for your program. On the field, my strengths include speed, accuracy, field awareness, a high soccer IQ, and having a big leg. 

As freshman on varsity, I was awarded Honorable Mention All District and Most Improved Player of the Year.  As a sophomore, I earned 2nd Team All District. As a junior, I served as a Team Captain and earned1st Team All District, 1st Team All State, and Academic All State.  Academically, I have a 4.04 GPA on a 4.0 scale and I am considering a degree in Communications/Media or Exercise Science. I am driven to excel academically and my grades and my faith are a priority for me.  I seek Christ and the plans that He has for my life. I am looking for a program that is a good fit for me athletically, academically, and most importantly, spiritually.
