I was born and raised in Texas my whole life so far. I have loved growing up here because there is a strong Latina culture that keeps me connected to my heritage. Mexico is really close, and I've been able to grow up with a wide range of diversity but also other people like me. I have met so many people from other hispanic countries and have really appreciated meeting so many people from all over the world. I am fluent in English and Spanish (reading and writing) and am also taking classes in Turkish language. While I love my home, I am totally open to leaving Texas to explore new opportunities in other areas to get my college education and have new life experiences.
As a soccer player, I hope to be the type of teammate that is positive, backs up my teammates and is very supportive. For example, if someone misses a shot, I want to lift them up and not make fun of them or belittle them. I believe one of my positive characteristics as a soccer player is that I am very coachable. I enjoy feedback, can take constructive criticism and want to hear from my coaches. As a goalkeeper, I work hard to keep a positive attitude and mentality and not let goals rattle me. I don't want my teammates to ever see my get down because that won't help them play with confidence. I am working on speaking up more and being a more vocal leader on the field to help my team out.
Outside of soccer, I love art and skateboarding. I enjoy crafts since it gives me a chance to be creative to my own personal liking. I like watching shows like the Good Doctor or family comedy like Modern Family.
