Hello, my name is Jordana Discher. I am an incoming senior for this next year of school and have many aspirations for my college years. I am an honor student who has consecutively taken multiple high-level classes. I am also involved in many charity organizations. Although all of these things may be large factors in my life I have made a connection in soccer that is very strong and has allowed me to become the person that I am today. Soccer has allowed me to become a strong confident woman. It was also an outlet from my inner struggles and struggles with friends during my first years of high school. Soccer is more than just a sport to me. It is a place where I can go to forget my problems and be with people who truly care about me. I have always pushed myself in anything I do whether it was soccer, school, or another activity. My parents always call me a workaholic but I believe that to be true because I want to work hard to become the best version of myself every day. That is one of the reasons that I decided to get a job at Starbucks in my junior year along with everything else that was going on. I had my academics, soccer, work, and myself to worry about. That year I also decided to take a class called Clinicals where I shadowed different fields in the medical industry and I even managed it get my Certified Nurses Assistant Certification. My college aspirations are to study biology and eventually make it into medical school so I can start my journey to get my Ph.D. I also plan to stay involved in the community and work my hardest in soccer and in school.
