Brianna Castro '24 Recruiting Profile

After taking a long break from soccer, I am ready to return to the sport I love. When I heard about high school tryouts, I quickly became excited even though I had not played for several years. Once I was back on the field, it felt like I had never left. Tryouts were difficult, but I realized that I had to push myself harder than all the other players because of my time away from the game. I was determined and saw this as an opportunity to prove to myself and others that I had the determination to make the team.  I was fortunate enough to make the JV team. I got to start in every game of the season.  This was a valuable lesson to learn: hard work and determination are important on and off the field. I continue to apply this in my daily life especially in school. As I begin my journey into highschool, I have realized my passion and how much I have evolved as a valuable team member. I am looking forward to finding a program in which I can excel academically as well as athletically.
