Personal Statement

Hello and Welcome Coaches! I'm Janelle Scott, and I will be graduating in 2025 from Veterans Memorial High School in San Antonio, Texas. I am on the Varsity soccer team as goalkeeper, and I love every moment of it. I have been starting keeper my Freshman, Sophomore, and Junior year so far.

I've played soccer since I was 4 years old, and goalie full-time since I was 10 years old. I pride myself on my accomplishments in soccer, as well as my academic achievements. I look forward to attending a school that can help me on both sides of the fence, as it is very important to me that I have the ability to obtain an esteemed degree alongside pursuing my dream of playing collegiate soccer.  I have learned how to successfully balance a rigorous training schedule alongside of a demanding academic load. My CoreGPA is uploaded here as well as my transcript. I especially enjoy mentoring the younger Varsity and JV players both on and off the field as well. I promise you, the coach and program that I am with, will get every last ounce of effort and drop of sweat as I battle for you and prove my leadership on the field.

Soccer has made me the person I am today, having a role in shaping nearly every aspect of myself. It has gotten me through the absolute toughest times, and of course the best times too! Every practice I play as if it's a game, and I give it my 110% effort. Every day I fall more in love with the sport, and I cannot wait to start a new chapter of my life in 2025 and call your campus home! I will see you on the field.

Yours Truly,

Janelle Scott

  • We helped pioneer a new club team for girls on the far northeast side of San Antonio, as many on my High School team saw a tremendous need for developing a program since nothing existed here at all for girls. We have had an amazing time creating a great atmosphere for up an coming players in the area, as well as ourselves to increase training and competition time.

(they play fall, Texas plays winter). So, I developed as a goalkeeper playing with only the most elite players in Northeast Ohio on undefeated teams 2 age groups up.
