My name is Marykate Metler and I am 16 years old. I am passionate about soccer and have been involved in both a successful high school season and club seasons through the past few years. I have been playing soccer for as long as I can remember. Since playing my first soccer game at three years old, there has never been a time in my life where I haven't had a strong passion for the game. One of the best decisions of my life was starting to play with competitive teams in the second grade. I learned the value of hard work, dedication and teamwork.
When I step onto the pitch I give 100%. I believe that results only come through effort. I am a natrual leader on and off the field; I try to build personal relationships with my coaches and my teammates. As a player, I am intense and positive, I have an open mindset and absorb new information or strategy easily. I am dedicated to whatever task I am trying to complete. I am aggressive in trying to reach my goals both athletically and academically.
In college I want to grow mentally. I would like to maintain my 3.7 GPA and work hard obtain my degree in English. I plan to go to law school and further my education as a Personal Injury Attorney. I am looking for a school that will help me achieve my goals academically while also raising my level of play athletically. I am excited to have the opportunity to continue my soccer career, and make an impact on any team I represent.
