Personal Statement

I've always been that girl to play soccer with all the boys at recess, the girl who wants to win every race and compete in all sports even if I didn't play it.  My dad has always encouraged me to play a variety of sports from a very young age, I started playing soccer when I was three. Although my dad did not know much about soccer he was always there for me. He was my assistant coach from the time that I was three to when I was about ten he would train with me and try this best to learn new things to teach me and my other team mates. He has been a strong figure in my life and my soccer career by keeping me persistent when I was hurt and I wanted to give up. I don't really remember when I knew I wanted to be committed to soccer but I can't imagine my life now without soccer. I lived in Puerto Rico and I was able to play soccer at a level that I had never played at before, I also got to learn Spanish too. Being the only blonde hair blue eyed American on the team made me stand out a lot. I was on a team that only spoke Spanish this was a very difficult thing for me but one of the best experiences of my life. I am so thankful for all the opportunities I had to play down there and the coaches that have impacted who I am not only as a player but just as a person in general. I am a team leader and I love teaching kids about soccer and helping them learn new things. This summer I worked at a soccer camp and I was able to encourage and teach little kids like my dad taught me. This sport has taught me a lot about myself as a person, it has made me a better person and leader. playing soccer helps me manage my time and have a more structured schedule. I am a good and focused student,  I work best in a big environment with group activities and hands on work. I have to study to achieve good grades, I am an average student but I struggle in mathematics I have a tutor and am receiving extra help so I have a better understanding of the concepts that we are learning in math. In general I am a hardworking student and athlete I set goals and work to achieve them. I am a determined student and team player and I work my hardest to reach my goals.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
