My name is Lucy Nicely and I play Defensive Midfielder for Alleghany High School soccer. The plan is to graduate in the year of 2023 and go to an academically and athletically competitive college. I would like to play soccer for the college I attend no matter what the college may be. My collegiate goals are to become a crime scene investigator after the required college levels. I would be a good candidate for any team because I am a great sport and I always put my teammates first. I push myself and my teammates to be their best that they can. I am fast, and I have good control. I have been an A/B honor student all my life. I have played soccer for five years including two years on my high school team. I have ran cross country for five years as well. When I play soccer it is not only a fun sport for me, it is a learning process as well. It helps me to learn from my mistakes and also helps me to teach my teammates what I know that they may not. I like to think of soccer as a sport that not many can do, other than listening to my peers when they say anyone can play soccer. That is true until someone actually tries to play and learns how difficult and how much skill is involved in it. I can say that anyone who can play soccer is very talented to be able to play a sport that involves not only physical skill but mental skill as well.
