Abigail Ruckwardt '26 Recruiting Profile

Hi I’m Abby and I‘ve been moving around the country since I was born. Since I'm a military brat, I have been on countless teams and worked with many different coaches. Moving has allowed me to become more confident in my skills and, most importantly, more confident in myself. I have learned so much from each team I’ve been on and I grew a little more with each move. I played reck for most of my life and switched to travel when I was 13. The transition was hard at first but I have learned so much since then. I hope to show coaches my maturity on and off the field, as well as my ability to work hard. My biggest goal is to make my parents, my coaches, and of course my teammates proud. I have dedicated so much of my life to soccer because I love the community it gives me and how rewarding it is when I see improvement in myself. I believe it was best that I joined travel a little late because I still have so much love for this game. My current goal is to play college soccer but from there I hope to balance my academics with athletics and continue to improve my soccer skills.
