Hello Coaches! My name is Heaven Corbin-Riley! I am a virtual student through Penn Foster High School. I am graduating with the class of 2025. I play and am team captain for Eukarya Christian Acadamy on their varsity soccer team and futsal team. I also play for a travel team called Blue Ridge united. I have been playing soccer since I was 6, I am currently 16 turning 17 in December. I am a competitive player, the more intense the game is the more fun it is.
As a mid-fielder and a captain, I tend to be good at leading the team through situations on and off the team. Having a relationship with the team is very important to me. If we have good a relationship off the field, we will have a great one on the field. Meaning more connected plays and better attitudes, wins or loses.
I believe there is always room for improvement no matter how good you are. So, I always take any advice the coach or team gives seriously and give it action to see if it works not only for me but for the team. Along with that I love watching the film my dad records during my games and practices to see what I can work on individually or at training with the team.
Most importantly, my faith. I am a Christian, been a Christian for my whole life. I play to honor God, praying before and after games me extra strength and motivation. I have God to thank for my entire soccer journey and for giving me the ability to be able to play and to recover properly. I want to be able to continue that going into to collage!
