Jaylee Cortez '23 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Jaylee Cortez and I am starting my senior year at Woodbridge Senior high school. Along with high school soccer I've been playing with my travel team, Prince William Courage ECNL-RL for several years. Competition keeps me motivated and determined to make myself a better player. I am a very aggressive player who will fight to win throughout the entire game. Whether it’s fixing those small touches or taking control of the back line. I am always looking for a way to better myself for my team. I am a dedicated and hardworking student-athlete, soccer has always been a big part of my life. I am hoping to find a college where I can continue to grow in a competitive environment and in a team that pushes each other.  

While soccer is a big priority to me, I also focus a lot of my time on academics. I have a 3.90 GPA on a 4.0 scale. I have taken several honors classes such as Adv Algebra Adv Biology Adv Geometry Adv Algebrall/ Trig Advance Spanish lll Advance Spanish lV Precalc w/ Trig BC. I also love participating in extracurricular activities as well as spending my time as a volunteer.
