I have played in just about any sport a kid can play and I am drawn to soccer because it is a team sport that is built on comradery and trust. A soccer game is the only time I can escape from my many off-field responsibilities and focus on my team, the game, and my job on the field.
I take my academics and athletics seriously and I am consistently giving everything my best. I got my extreme competitiveness from my parents, particularly from my mom. She instills in me that there are no limits to what I can do. My first lesson was when my parents put me in co-ed wresting at the young age of six. She wanted me to know that male or female, nothing is off limits. My desire to succeed in whatever I do, whether it is on the field going for 50/50 balls or in school aiming for the A, all comes from my competitiveness.
Growing up I really only had one clear academic goal for myself and that was to graduate from high school with a 4.0 GPA. I am proud to have earned A's since I started school. I have maintained a 4.0 GPA while taking all advanced classes, playing Varsity soccer, wrestling, and track, and working a part-time job at Target, all on top of competing in National League club soccer. I have amazing time management skills to handle my busy schedule. When it comes to competing at the college level I want to be part of a soccer program that values academics and the program equally. My best qualities on the field are my speed, aggressiveness, and movement on and off the ball. Whether I'm working towards a pass, shot, or cross I have the tenacity to take people on and penetrate forward.
