Wrestling has been, is, and will forever be my passion. I started wrestling in eighth grade because my middle school football coach and teammates convinced me to "try it out." Ever since that first practice, I knew that I was born to wrestle. From that point on, I have begun to devote everything I do to wrestling. From waking up in the morning and getting ready for school, to being in the weight room on my days off, and staying consistent in the classroom. Through choosing to take college courses during my last two years of high school to obtain my associate's degree, I have proven that I take my educational career seriously and will continue to do so wherever I pursue my future. I will be an asset to whatever team I decide to commit to for my future in wrestling because I am more than a perfectionist. I am someone who will put a hundred and ten percent into sharpening and excelling every move, skill, and position inside the wrestling room, the classroom, and in my everyday life. I am someone who gives more than everything to succeed in something that I love. I believe my mindset as a student-athlete sets me apart from most because in whatever I do, I have the mentality that I will be the most disciplined person in any room and I will not be outworked by anyone. I am someone who is coachable, someone who is tenacious, and someone who will continue to put in the work for the title of the greatest. One of my biggest objectives this year is to secure my short-term goal of being a Washington state champion. Another goal I have this year is to place at large nationwide tournaments while surprising collegiate recruits who haven't heard my name yet. My academic goal for this year is to get my GPA back to a 3.5 and to get my associate’s degree at the same time as my high school diploma. The largest accomplishment that I have on my wrestling resume is coming into the Washington Mat Classic this year ranked second in 3A, the hardest and most competitive division in the state. I was also the district and regional champion walking into state. I have overcome the difficulties of competing in a high school sport during the COVID-19 pandemic and have pushed through several injuries over the past years to be where I am at. I have shown through grit and perseverance that when I am given a chance to wrestle at the next level, I will succeed in my dream of being a champion.
