My name is Emily Russell. I am 5'4" and 130 pounds. I have been playing soccer for 13 years. I attend Sehome High School, our girls team was 2009 semi-finalists, 2010 2A State Champions in WA and 2011 quarter-finalists. During the rest of the year I play for a club team called WFC Rangers, we ended our 2011 season as 3rd in Washington State RCL level 1, and our 2012 season as first place in our league (have not had state cup yet). Over the past 7 years of playing soccer for a club team I have been Captain 4 out of 7 seasons. Soccer is really important to me and a huge part of my life, I would love to continue to play at the next level. My ideal college would preferably be in an Urban environment, I'm also what you might call a "people person," so a LARGER college would suit me best. I am open to many different types of schools. However, Divison 1-3 schools are my main focus. I'm shooting for Finacial Aid, or Scholarships to help me through college as well. Majors I am looking at so far would be something to do with psychology, early child development, or especially social work. Athletic goals of mine are basically to play at the highest level that I can. I don't plan on sitting on the bench during games, so pushing myself and working hard to become the best player that I can is really important to me.
