Personal Statement

Born 2002, I am a senior at East Valley High School; Yakima, Washington, who is verbally committed to Whitworth University! I will be graduating in 2020 with a high school diploma and an associates degree simultaneously.

I have played and loved soccer for as long as I can remember. Currently, I am rostered for a local club team, Central Washington Sounders. I’ve played varsity soccer all four years of high school and have been elected captain my junior and senior year. I have made select regional traveling teams with PSPL Surf and the WASAY program and they have been incredible experiences.

I have been coached by many and loved them all. Every one of them gave me such beneficial tools to become the player I am today, and I plan on utilizing these tools in my future soccer career at a higher level. I’m ready for the soccer sacrifices that will make my team, as well as myself, greater in every way!

There is no question that college will be the answer for me and for my future. I will play soccer at my highest level, treasure the experience, accept the challenges, and do so while gaining an education
