Hi, my name is Cadence Adkins and I would like to introduce myself! I am currently a Junior at Lincoln County High School (Hamlin, Wv). I have been playing soccer since I was 8 years old. I feel in love with the game early. I am little and I have always heard “You are too little”. I realized early on that I could, my size didn’t matter. That was my driving force. We soon found out that I was ambidextrous. I have played indoor, spring, summer, & fall every year since I have started. We don’t have a travel team around here but I am always keeping a ball at my feet! 2018 summer, WVU Women’s soccer assistant coach Bree McCartney came to Lincoln county and put us through McCartneys Camp. 2018 was my freshman year and I got to start! I was so excited and honored. During my time as a starting freshman I received Athlete of the Week, where they called me a “Scoring Assult”. I had several hat tricks and lead my team with the most goals at 19 goals for the season and I also received 2nd team All-Southern WV Girls Soccer.
This 2019 season, I broke a school record as I ended the season with 45 goals scored. I was selected to be the first player from LCHS to be inducted into the WV First Team All State AA/A.
This year 2020, I am a junior & was selected to be one of the captains of our team.
I am a very good student and take my education seriously. I am not 100% decided on a major but it will likely be something in the medical field.
I plan to consider colleges that are a good match for me academically. I am very passionate about soccer as well.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me!
Cadence
