Hannah Huntley '24 Recruiting Profile

I started playing soccer in fourth grade, but mostly because several of my friends played and their team needed more players. Overtime, and for a variety of reasons, very few of those friends play any more. I still play however, and I still love the game. With each team and season since I started, I have grown as a person and a player. There have been several memorable experiences that help drive my desire to keep learning and playing. I recently completed a successful Junior soccer season at Hudson High School where we seeded number 1 in our division, and won the regional championship. I was a starter as an outside back. It was a newer position for me, as I had been playing mostly center defense. i came to really enjoy this position because it gave me an opportunity to move up the field and get more involved in the offense. I was voted most improved by my coaches this year, and have been nominated as a captain for next years team since then.  I also compete for the Hudson High School Gymnastics team, where I am also a captain. In addition to my high school soccer team, I play for Saint Croix Soccer Club. As a club player, I have enjoyed the opportunity to travel to different states for a variety of game experiences. In 2019, one of my teams played against international teams in the USA cup where we finished 2 in our bracket. In 2021, my team played in the Florida Cup against very strong competition.

My hard work and commitment on the field also carries over to the classroom. I am a strong student who carries a challenging caseload and maintains over a 4.0 GPA. I am a member of NHS, Spanish NHS, as well as being a mentor in the Student-to-Student club where I help support peers with special needs. I am interesting in persuing a career in an area of health care and would welcome the opportunity to begin that journey with coursework at a university.
