I have been playing soccer since I was 4 years old and since then, my love and passion for the game has grown. My goal is to continue playing the game I love beyond my high school years. Ideally, I would be able to make an immediate contribution to a high level college team in any position or way I am able to. I am most familiar with playing offensive positions but I also have experience in defensive roles and tend to have an attacking mindset when playing those positions.
As a freshman, I was a starting player on varsity where I was able to score 34 goals and provide 3 assists. As a sophomore, I led my team to a Regional title, which our team has not accomplished since 2015. I was able to contribute 41 goals and 2 assists. I was selected as First Team All Conference and Player of the Year both seasons. Both years, I was also recognized at the USA Today Northeast Wisconsin High School Sports Awards presentation.
I have been involved in the Wisconsin ODP program for the last five years and I have been selected to be on the Wisconsin state team for Midwest regional events every year. Each year I participated, I was also given the opportunity to attend the ODP Midwest ID camp. This past November, I attended the ODP Inter-Regional event as a member of the Midwest team and was provided the amazing opportunity to attend the ODP National Training Camp this past January. I am proud to say that I will again represent the Midwest Region at Inter-Regionals in Florida this upcoming November. This past May, I was selected to attend the YNT Midwest ID Center in Chicago. I have learned so much playing with some of the top players in my age group!
The player I have become has required hard work, dedication, determination, and plenty of support from my family, team mates and coaches! In 2020, after playing for my home club in central Wisconsin for 7 years, I realized what I wanted my future soccer career to look like and decided that I needed to challenge myself in a more competitive environment to continue my growth and progress towards my goals. I tried out for the FC Wisconsin ECNL Club team, based out of the Milwaukee area and a 2.5 hour drive from home, and this is the highly competitive club I am now spending my time learning and growing with. My first season with FC Wisconsin, I was recognized as 2nd team All Conference for the Midwest region. In my second season at the U16 age group I was recently recognized as 1st team All Conference. I am currently in my third season with FC Wisconsin and am continuing for the 2022-2023 season at the U17 age group.
I have been told that my strengths as a player are my technical ball skills, work ethic and rate, speed of play, attacking and 1 v 1 ability. I am a tenacious player who looks to cause problems for opponents as they try to connect passes. I am calm under pressure and can turn on a dime out of pressure. I have good vision to find team mates in scoring positions and I am active and tenacious off the ball.
When I am not playing soccer, I enjoy hunting, fishing and archery. I haven't decided the specific college major I want to pursue yet but I know I want to do something in the science field likely related to aquatic sciences or aquatic biology.
