It would be a mistake to overlook athletes from Wyoming – especially me!
I’m a multi-sport varsity athlete and am starting year of high school. I have a 4.22 weighted GPA/3.98 unweighted GPA (with several advanced placement and seminar classes). Despite my participation in other sports, soccer has always been my favorite sport since I started playing at the age of 2. I have always been an aggressive and fearless player, but my skill level and speed started to match/exceed my peers when I was placed with good coaches through ODP and the Wyoming 307 Select Program. I was playing keeper about half of the time until three years ago when I decided to focus on field play. I want to play soccer in college and I’m trying to find the right fit with a good academic program.
I am a certified soccer referee and lifeguard, which helps fill out my summer jobs.
Living in Wyoming has created practical limits to my exposure at leagues and showcase camps, but when I get the opportunity (whether high school season in Wyoming, guest playing in out-of-state tournaments, or traveling to camps) I compete well. It has reaffirmed my commitment to finding a program to contribute to and to continue my development with.
Competing in sports is truly my happy place and I want to continue that as I get my college degree. I am very hard-working, very competitive, and smart. I know I would be an asset to a college team.
