I aspire to be part an active of a team. I am a hard worker and take direction well. I work very well within a group, and on my own. I am disciplined and understand what it means to succeed, as well as fail. I want to swim through college without incurring any debt, so I can pursue another dream of mine which is to join the peace corp.
I have been very fortunate, my parents have exposed me to much of the world, including Greece, Turkey, Italy, Austria, Germany, Holland, France, Spain, Hungary, Poland, Mexico, much of the Caribbean, much of the US, as well as volunteering on two separate occasions at orphanages in Haiti. These experiences have allowed me to be tolerant of cultures I do not understand, as well as have empathy for individuals. I feel as though my travels have opened my eyes and exposed me to the intricacies of the world, giving me insight into realities I would never understand from a book or a movie.
Academically, I have a 4.2 weighted GPA. I am lucky in so much that learning comes fairly easy to me. I was put in ELP classes in elementary school, which led to honors and then AP classes in high school. I strive for all A's, but find that it is often times not possible with my school and swim schedule.
