I started swimming competitively when I was six years old, and I have not stopped enjoying the sport. I love being surrounded by my friends and my coaches as we build a great team environment. As I have been swimming for eleven years, I have become very good at managing my time between the sport and my academics. When I was 10 years old, I qualified for Far Westerns for the 100 Fly LCM. I was so proud of myself for qualifying, but when it came to swimming the event at the championship meet, I swam horribly. Despite this, I was still happy that I qualified, and it made me a stronger swimmer. I pushed myself even more at practice, and then put all of that hard work into performing better at meets. Since then, I have grown immensely as an athlete and cannot wait to grow even more on a college team.
