Isabella Geiger '27 Recruiting Profile

When it comes to swimming, I was a late entrant to the sport.  I only started swimming when I was 10 years old and only joined a truly competitive program at 11.  Two years ago, it was discovered that I am a distance swimmer.  I went from a regionals only swimmer to a summer sectional qualifier in that two years and am I a looking to only go up from here.  In high school, I swim the 200 and the 500 but my best event is the 800/1000 during club season.  This will be my first full season training for distance events and I look forward to the changes that will make from sprint training.

Outside of events and times, my favorite thing about swimming is being part of a team and the friendships.  Whenever we have theme meets, I am the first one to supply face paint or costumes for the team to get inspired and get cohesive.  I enjoy the team comradery and travel trips and dinners.  

As much as I love swimming, I do know that school is the most important thing.  I am looking for a program to push me in the water but support my educational goals in the classroom.
