Hi, my name is Ashtyn Smith. I have been involved in the sport of swimming since the age of 8 years old. Currently, I am swimming for Monticello High School and the South Arkansas Sharknados located in El Dorado Arkansas. What I love most about the sport of swimming is the drive. I enjoy to see the results of hard work pay off, so it makes me excited to keep pushing. The sport of swimming means more to me than just moving water. Swimming, to me, means to work hard, have self discipline, be a team player, and help others. Something that brings me joy is passing on the sport of swimming to other people. During the summer, I teach swimming lessons to all ages. Introducing the sport of swimming to others is important to me because the sport itself brings me so much joy, and I enjoy sharing the joy with others. During my spare time, I like to hunt, fish, wake surf, and spend time with friends and family. Academics are an extremely important part of my future. I have participated in honors classes since they have been an option to join, and I always try my best. During college, I intend to study Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Processes.
