This past year I made the transition from national level artisitc swimming to year round speed swimming. I've enjoyed swimming through a summer swim club (May to August) since I was 6 years old, but making the switch to year round speed swimming was the best decision I've ever made. The objectivity of speed swimming suits my personality, as I can reliably track my progress. Becasue this past year (2022/2023) was my first season, I feel as though I have considerable room for development. I'm enjoying the training and am excited to see what I can achieve. My goal is to obtain a scholarship so that I can swim in a competitive swim program at a high-standing academic university that proivdes pre-medicine programs.
