My name is Taylor Fitzgerald. I am a small town girl with a love for anything active such as skiing and soccer, however, my true passion is swimming! Swimming became a part of my life when I was six years old. I’ve always enjoyed racing others, but I've always felt that the true competition in the pool is with myself. Now that I am older and have gained some experience with the sport, I know that it so much more than just competition with myself or against others. Swimming has shaped me into a determined, highly motivated, and hardworking individual both in the pool and in all aspects of my life outside of the pool! I take my schoolwork very seriously because I know that through hard work in the classroom, I will open doors to achieve my goals in life outside of the pool such as getting accepted into medical school. I truly believe that I am a great candidate for any swim team because although competition with myself has often been my main motivator, I also recognize that being part of a team and dedicated to my teammates is as important as the competition itself. I have always, and will always strive to be the best version of myself.
