The early morning dew on a leaf. Scattered, gleaming sparklets on the blossoms of my fruit trees in the dull light of dawn. Yet, I am half-asleep sliding my shoes onto my feet and taking off. Early mornings, late nights, never stopping. Life gives lemons, but no juicer. So many ways to say that success is not for everyone. Seemingly too late, I have only recently realized this. Although, if there is one thing I have learned over the course of my life it would be that it is never too late to start. In order for dreams to come true, they need to be kept alive. I have not had an easy life: my father having cancer, my mother having a chronic pain, a constant struggle financially; all reasons I feel discouraged and weak. However, with time and self-reflection, I learned to push past this; to manage my time, not give into the weight of pain and grief, and reflect on my priorities.
