Emma Larsen '19 Recruiting Profile

Hello! 

Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile. I am looking for a college where I can pursue my dreams to earn a degree towards becoming a Nurse. In particular, my long term goal is to become a Family Nurse Practitioner. I come from a family of educators. My father is a teacher, my mother is an Academic Counselor. I too want to give back and help others. I enjoy swimming and the IM is one of my favorite events. I have played others sports as well, volleyball, basketball, cross-country, etc. but none have my interest as much as swimming. It would be a dream come true to continue to compete with a team while attending college. 

I grew up in a small town named Kelseyville. It is located in rural Lake County, California. I was born and raised here. I seek a schooling environment that provides me with new experiences but also offers opportunities to take part in the things that I love such as Swimming and being part of a team. I am a hard worker, I take studying seriously and have juggled a 20 hr/week job at a local restaurant while keeping a competitive GPA. People often share they enjoy my sense of humor, sensitivity and attention to detail. I grew up being a part of a swim club, the Channel Cats. Our area is really small and the swim team is a combined team for both Kelseyville and Clear Lake High School. We enjoy competing together to form a larger team. In previous summers, I worked as both a Lifeguard and a Swim Instructor. Often, parents requested me in particular. I provided individual private lessons at my home for two families last summer as well. I am a good communicator, hard worker, fun person to be around and I welcome the opportunity to meet you and your team.
