Sometimes I wonder if I was actually born in a pool and not a hospital, or maybe that I was a fish in a prior life. For as long as I can remember I have been in the pool finding a sort of peace that I can’t get anywhere else, belonging in a place where troubles don’t exist, and having a certain desire to push myself and get faster! I love being part of both the swimming and water polo team, where I feel like a part of something bigger, where I can challenge myself to be better, and help my team shine. As I get ready for college, I realize I don’t want to give up my second home and my life as a swimmer. I look forward to meeting new people and new challenges, both in the pool and in the classroom. So who am I?  I’m a committed young woman – committed to swimming, to academics, to my team, and to myself!  I hope to be a part of who shapes the future of your team, and trust you will help shape the future of my life.
