Alyona Beams '22 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Alyona (Lola) Beams.

I've been swimming since I was 4.  Swimming has been a big part of my life for a long, long time.  As far back as I can remember I’ve been in a pool and having fun! I've been home-schooled my whole life just so I can swim on my swim team (ALTO) and travel.

My goal is to make 2020 Olympic trials.

I know that’s a big goal, even I didn’t think I could dream of doing that, but over the last 3 years, I’ve gotten stronger and faster.

Last year before Jr Nationals, I got injured. I feel like since the injury I’ve gotten to know myself better, to have faith in God to help me through the hard times and to never give up not matter how hard the problem is.

I can’t wait to see what the future holds for my life and my swimming life!
