Lexi Mccoy '17 Recruiting Profile

My name is Lexi McCoy and I started swimming about 6 years ago. I have played many sports over the years and never took swimming to the advanced level. Just recently I made the choice to drop all other sports and dedicate all my time into swimming. Since I made that decision I have never been happier, and I look forward to continuing on with swimming during college and maybe even after. I am a student athlete who is very competitive in everything I do, whether its in the classroom or in the pool. Swimming is a huge part of my life and school is also, I would like to find the perfect fit that balances both my academics and swimming in college. I love helping people in any way I can and that is why I decided to pick my major as a Special Education Teacher. I have devoted lots of time into helping these children, whether it be at school, in my own time, or even swimming with them. I will be taking sign language very soon and I am taking other classes that are preparing me for what college is going to bring me in the future. Going to college has always been a huge dream of mine since I would be the first in my family to go and I look forward to advancing my skills in my academics and in swimming.
