I've been swimming for almost 6 years and I've improved greatly. No matter where I am, I'm always in the mood to swim. I can't seem to get enough of the pool which is why I want to swim in college. Being able to be independent in my races and representing my team makes me feel accomplished. Although swimming is an individual sport, I believe that encouraging team mates helps everybody do their best. Having already experienced team sports such as softball and basketball, I know the value of sportsmanship within a team. Being a good athlete requires you to manage your time well. I've learned to balance 2 practices a day and maintain a high GPA. Because of my strong and committed time to swimming and academics, I believe I am a solid candidate for a college swim team.
