Kiana Li '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi everyone! My name is Kiana Li and I am currently a junior attending San Marino High School! I am highly passionate about swimming and my biggest goal is to compete at the highest collegiate level. Swimming became a huge part of my life since my first practice at a small club team in Pasadena, California. Since then, I’ve gone through many other teams and gained the knowledge and experience I need to succeed at the highest level. I knew I loved the feeling of winning and being a part of something so much bigger than myself. I have been swimming competitively for around 12 years now and love everything about this sport. My favorite part is being a part of something that pushes me to become the better version of myself. I am super self-motivated and I enjoy racing and bonding with my teammates to create a positive training environment. No matter the circumstance, I will put in all my effort and encourage those around me.

One quality that sets me apart from the other recruits is my self-motivation and resilience. From a very young age, I was always motivated to do better for myself and I never gave up until I reached my goal. Throughout my swimming career, I have not only grown as a swimmer but also as a person, teammate, student, and friend. Swimming has taught me to be goal-oriented, persistent, and humble. Another quality that sets me apart from other amazing athletes is my willingness to learn and improve. I am a very coachable individual who will do everything to become a better swimmer. I love this sport and I hope to continue swimming through my college years.
