Emma Schauble '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Emma Schauble and I am a senior at Prospect Ridge Academy (PRA) in Broomfield Colorado, 5,420 ft elevation.  Since my school, PRA, does not have a swim team, I swim for my boundary School, Legacy High School in Broomfield Colorado.  I grew up in the water and have been swimming competitively since I was seven years old.  I started off swimming CARA at Lifetime Fitness and then joined my USA Swimming Club Team, the Brighton Bullfrogs, in 2014.  My favorite events to compete in are backstroke, I.M., and mid-distance freestyle events. 

As for a student, I am a fourth-year member of the National Arts Honors Society and was inducted into the National Honor Society my sophomore year. I have a 4.375 weighted GPA (3.667 unweighted).  I take both my athletic and academic commitments seriously and have been a member of the honor roll/high honor roll since 6^th grade.  I take multiple honors classes per year and try to do as much art as I can, either in classes at school or on my own.  I recently received “Best Visual Art Composition” in the Life Sciences by a high school student in the Little Shop of Physics Art of Science Contest (Nov 2020). I also received 1st place 2 years in a row in my schools Miner Cup PEAKS Art Competition. 

I look forward to studying biology and art in college and I’m currently looking at colleges where I can have a contributing role on a women’s collegiate competitive swim team.  My current location preference is for the West Coast, but I am also exploring additional opportunities in the Mid-West and New England/East Coast areas.
