Annika Yaworski '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Annika Yaworski, a 17-year-old Senior at Arapahoe High School in Centennial, Colorado, where I serve as Captain of the varsity swim team. My specialty events include the 100/200 Back, 100 Fly, and 50/100/200 Free, demonstrating versatility across multiple strokes and distances.

Academically, I maintain a weighted GPA of 4.19 and an unweighted GPA of 4.0, reflecting my commitment to excellence both in and out of the pool. My current SAT score is 1370, and I'm preparing to retake the test in August with a target score of 1400-1500, illustrating my dedication to continuous improvement.

I began swimming at the age of five with my neighborhood summer league team. I loved it so much that I joined Denver Swim Academy (DSA) when I was eight. Over the past decade, I've developed an unwavering dedication to the sport, embracing the challenges of rigorous training both in the pool and gym. I actively compete for both my high school varsity team and club team, managing the demands of dual programs while excelling in each. 

I thrive on continuous improvement, actively seeking coach feedback to refine my technique and maximize performance. My current goal is to achieve a Futures Cut this short course season, highlighting my commitment to setting and pursuing ambitious targets.

I was voted by my peers to be team captain for my high school and I take this responsibility very seriously. I've developed strong leadership skills and contribute to a positive team culture motivating my peers to excel in both high school and club competitions. This dual-team experience has honed my ability to adapt to different training environments and competitive settings.

I'm excited about the prospect of contributing to a collegiate program that will challenge me to reach new heights both academically and athletically. I appreciate the structure that swimming brings and the idea of having a swim family at college is the environment that I know I will thrive in.
