My name is Erin Harnum, I am a 5'8" 145 lb, competitive swimmer. I have been swimming for most of my life and recently been part of the Foothills Swim Team as well as the varsity swim team at Columbine high school. In the last two years of swimming at Columbine high school I have individually broken both the 100 backstroke record as well as the 200 IM record along with the 400 free relay and the 200 medley relay records with my team. Swimming has always been a big part of my life and starting when I was young, I always knew I wanted to go to college for swimming. Throughout my years of training I have learned how to persevere both mentally and physically through some of the hardest practices and life situations that I will face. Swimming has taught me grit and endurance, but also taught me how to move past losing. Some of the most influential people in my life are the coaches who shaped me into the swimmer, and ultimately the person, that I have become today. I am grateful for all of the opportunities I have had, and very excited for new ones to come.
