Sydney Crawford '21 Recruiting Profile

I have been fighting for my place on a team since before birth, I can say that because I am a twin and had to learn about compromise, individuality, strength and perseverance right off the starting block of my life. I have continued to use those life lessons to excel in sports, academics and to learn to stay true to my own morals. Growing up in a rural Farm town we have always had to travel to our Aquatics club sometimes up to 45 minutes each way.  The time I spent in the car and at the pool has lead me to pursue my dream of swimming in college. 

As I begin my next phase of college searches, I am looking for a college that will continue to support my love of swimming with great coaches, teammates and a school with lots of spirit!  Swimming is who I am.  It has provided me with support, true commitment and dedication, time management, fitness, academic motivation and great friendships.  The skills I have learned in and out of the pool during swim practices, Age Group Championships and Eastern Zones will continue with any future endeavors.

I feel I would be a great asset to your college swim program. I am a disciplined, coachable, self motivated athlete and team player.  I am able to manage my time and I know how to push myself physically and mentally.  I am looking for a program that would allow me to grow and develop as a swimmer, challenge my inner fuel to improve on my personal records and to take your school to a winning season.
