Addison Markoja '26 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Addison Markoja and I'm a junior at Maloney High School in Meriden CT. Swimming. One word to some, but to me everything. From the good to bad, bad to worse, worse to great again, it’s the one continuous thing I’ve always had. Through this competitive sport, I have learned hard work and discipline, how to be a good teammate,  to celebrate the good and not rush into the bad, and how to be a leader. My team is my family and I have and always will do whatever it takes to help and inspire them. I’m leaving the next generation in 2 years, and someone has to set the standard, and I see the chance so I’m taking it. I’m not one to give up when my mind is set on something. When I think of college, swimming is a major part of it, and with that, a supportive coaching staff, a team that will become family, and great academic opportunity as well. I’m very dedicated both in the pool and classroom, to me, you can’t succeed in one without the other, they both matter. To swim is the dream, and I’m not one to backdown on my dreams. Alls I can say to you is, take a chance on me. I promise I won’t let you down.
