Personal Statement
As a person, I have always had big goals not only for swimming but also for my education. I have been swimming since I was 4 and the water has become my happy place. When I was 7 I asked my coach if I could join the swim team as I wanted to compete. Since then, I have been working hard in practice and pushing myself during the challenging sets. As for school I am passionate about learning and exploring subjects. I constantly strive to do well in my academics and have challenged myself with honors and AP classes. For college, I intend to explore career paths in the medical field, but I would also love to be a member of a swim team. I believe that I would be a good addition to a team because I am willing to work hard, encourage my teammates, and I have the desire to compete.
