I've been playing sports from a very young age and when I was eight years old I decided to join the swim team. As I entered seventh grade I made the decision to put my devotion into swimming. The constant competitiveness and drive the sport demands was unmatched by other sports I played, and I've always loved the comradery carried in the pool.
I've displayed constant dedication by prioritizing my training whether it's missing a school event because I have a meet or going to bed extra early so I'm rested for morning practice. As a student athlete, these are easy sacrifices knowing I will continue my prowess as a scholar athlete and musician. Especially in the past two years, I have shown great tenacity and perseverance through overcoming an injury and the obstacles of recovery. In April of 2021 I underwent ankle surgery and the recovery process was not easy as it constantly felt like I was taking one step forward and three steps back. However, this didn't stop me from returning to the pool and continually setting goals and being a top competitor for my team. I continue to work hard and push myself to reach my full potential.
